Raised in Quillota, Chile and Mississauga, Ontario, Carlo Guillermo Proto is a Quebec/Chilean filmmaker whose work focuses on the unique interplay between identity and human experience in relationship to issues of geography, ethnicity and perceived disabilities. Carlo's first feature length documentary, El Huaso, screened in over 30 international film festivals and was broadcast on CBC's Documentary Channel and Tele-Francophone Ontario (TFO). Carlo developing his third feature length documentary and writing the screenplay for his first fiction feature length film.
